How to Create a Beautiful Spring Table in 5 Easy Steps
by Suzanne M. Harvey

We are getting ready to celebrate Easter, the flowers & trees are finally starting to bloom. Spring is here (even though according to the calendar it happened a few weeks ago). There is something so special about a curated table setting that sets the stage for a wonderful meal with those you love. They don’t have to be fussy or difficult to be beautiful. Here is my 5 step approach to a simple & beautiful spring table.
#1 – Good Dishes
Time to get out that beautiful china that you have been saving for a special occasion. And by the way this can be a random Tuesday night. Use the dishes and enjoy them. They don’t need to stay in the closet collecting dust.
#2 – Mixed Metals

Mixing metal tones is a beautiful trend that is fool proof. I recommend selecting just 2 to work with. For my recent tablescape, I used silver & gold. Classic & beautiful tones that elevate the simple table. Wondering what should be in the metallic tones? Go with a charger under your plates, some candlesticks or a table runner to bring in the shine of metallics.
#3 – Layered Colors
I love a colorful table but keep your color palette at 2-3 colors. You can bring this in with your napkins or table runner. Or maybe a colorful salad plate. I love using blues & tangerine together. It screams happiness & spring. And a pop of green will be amazing.
#4 – Interesting Centerpiece

If you use a vase with flowers I won’t be mad. But don’t be afraid to get creative with what you have in your home. A bowl of apples or lemons would be beautiful on your spring table. On my table we have even used a beautiful decorated cake! The sky’s the limit and the possibilities are endless, so have some fun with this.
#5 – Add some sparkle
Every table needs a little glam. That can be a beautiful crystal glass or a bedazzled napkin ring. Not sure you want the glam look? Add some candles. The flicker of fire light will make the table dance and set a beautiful ambiance.
Now it’s your turn. Use what you have and get creative. And make an everyday meal a special occasion with your favorite people – just because. I can’t wait to see what you curate for your spring table.
